I love this game and watching all the cute character interactions and all
That said though could you guys stop changing the name of the game every 10 minutes and decide on something?
I bought this game as Animal Spa, then it was Idle Onsen and at time of writing the game is titled Maltese’s Fluffy Onsen. I’m sure I’ve missed a couple names along the way, too.

I was going to pre-purhcase Doom: The Dark Ages but then I saw this game and changed my mind.
Now I'm 5 dollars short, but I have this great game where I am helping animals relax and enjoy a nice bath.

I got this game to have a cute little desktop idler, but I end up focusing on decorating my bathhouse all day instead. It's been awful for my productivity. 10/10

First off, let me preface by admitting I am a HETEROSEXUAL MALE. You may be wondering what that has to do with this review, well, I'm not the target audience for this game, yet I found it so relaxing that it suppressed any primal masculine rage in my body. The music combined with the cute animals create a welcoming environment akin to Animal Crossing. This game is extremely polished with more features than I expected. Honestly, if you find yourself often waiting on your friends to join or just need a calmer, wind-down moment between games, this is a great option instead of doom scrolling. Give it a try and enjoy the relaxation!

It's cute and will hold your interest for maybe 15-20 minutes before you realize that there's not much more to it than what you're already doing.
Most of the unlocks just kind of happen over time if you leave things sitting long enough. There's a few minor management elements, but the effect they have on the game is negligible if anything. The UI is pretty clunky too.
If you want some overly cute pixel art animals that move around, go for it.
If you want anything resembling a management game or sim, stay away.

It’s cute but gets old quickly.
There are 8 stages but the only real changes are the exterior and a few additional decor items. I really would have liked themed wallpaper/floor/baths for each stage because I effectively created the same onsen 9 times in a row.
The amount of content doesn’t justify the difficulty of some of the achievements. Even after unlocking the most insanely expensive bath and the new character that comes with it there are no real benefits and I still have to have the game running with nothing to do for 100+ hours to unlock the Millionaire achievement.
I really like the idea of having these kinds of games running in the background but this feels like a lazy addition to the genre.

This game is so fun! I've been playing for 11.4 hours straight only stopping to sleep. It's easy and enjoyable. The characters are cute and entertaining to watch even when it's idle. I want more! I love the decorations just wishing I had more. Overall I'm very happy with what I have.
Edit: Just wanted to say I'd like to see rotation added to the decorations and baths.

🦦 Maltese's Fluffy Onsen Review 🫧
Maltese's Fluffy Onsen is such a cute and relaxing game. You start off with a small spa at the bottom of your screen and can build up to five floors as you go. It reminded me a bit of Tiny Tower, though it’s not endless but that’s totally fine, as each floor still feels like a lovely upgrade. There’s loads of different animals that come to chill in your spa and soak in the baths. It’s so sweet watching them wander around and enjoy the space. You can really make the spa your own too, lay it out however you like with small, medium, or large baths, and add all sorts of decorations like flowers, showers, and even little food stands. You can go really cosy or just have fun with it. The goal on each map is to collect 24 medals to get a special key. That key unlocks new map themes, and each theme comes with extra decorations and a new animal type for some, which is a nice touch. You do have to start a new game each time you want to earn another key, which might not be for everyone, but I’m enjoying it, the new items and themes are too cute to miss! The art style is super adorable and the themes are really lovely to look at. There’s a good variety of animals too — otters are my personal fave. Only thing I’ve noticed is a little bug with the speech bubbles. You need to click on them to get stars for unlocking staff items or upgrades, but the more floors you have, the less they seem to appear. The animals still interact and stop to admire things, so you just have to click around where the bubble would normally show up. You’ll still get the star, just need to keep an eye out. Overall, it’s a sweet, chilled-out game. Super cosy, great for relaxing, and full of charm. Your animals will absolutely love the spa you build for them! Have a cozy time running your little Onsen! 🛁Tip: If you want to find more reviews like this, check out our curator page Moon's Tea House

It's insane that the creators of the game only let the game switch between 2 screens. I just can't understand what are they thinking. That only issue, makes this game an absolute 0/10.
