Battlefield™ REDSECBattlefield™ REDSEC
I do not like being forced to do challenges for the battle royale, when I'm just interested in playing the base game. Please keep battle royale challegnes separate from the standard multiplayer; if you want to have some multiplayer as a timed mode for the battle royale, that's fine, but please keep it separate.

No solo Mode... When will they learn the overwhelming majority of players play solo? It doesn't feel good to play with randoms against premade coordinated squads.

BF6 base multiplayer gets small maps with limited destruction. BF BR gets a massive map with whole buildings coming down and water vehicles. I wish they spent more time making Conquest a true BF experience.

I wouldn't hate it so much if I wasn't forced to play it for challenges in the main game. But I am. So I do. This is not why I bought Battlefield 6.

Press F to pay respects to Call of Duty. Call of Duty is going to have to run some free weekends to recover from this.

Oh wow a nice big map with lots of POIs and flanks. If only we could get something like this for the main game.

no solo queue and no disable autofill option so you can't even play solo against duos so I'm writing this review because I wouldn't have downloaded the game if I knew that beforehand so hopefully it saves someones time, I'll edit this if they change it.

Fun update, the battle pass is not half bad, only problem with me is not having a solo battle royal mode

I paid $80 for battlefield 6, for three weeks i was playing a grounded military shooter until EA & Dice back doored season 1 and introduced neon coloured glow stick operators jumping about Manhattan and Tajikstan. Please explain to me why the game i paid money for must be ruined and dictated by the free to play game and battle pass aimed at those players who never bought the core game? The idea is pretty simple you get money from battlefield fans, within 3 weeks and great reviews use that to lure other fan bases in to trying your 'Free to play Battle Royale' game and when that drops you have a battle pass ready to go with neon glow sticks for people to buy that never bought the main game - but again why must that ruin the main game for someone that paid? Why does someone that already spent $80 on you're game have to see two full screen splash advertisements EVERY TIME I LOG ON for a battle pass and battle royale that I have absolutely no interest in? - because the predatory system wants as much cash gained as possible even at the expense of true fans, that actually bought the game. Futher-more, why as someone who spent money on BATTLEFIELD am I forced at every opportunity to play the Battle Royale modes to get BASE GAME OPERATORS unlocked? These modes are completely separate - the battle royale should NOT be forced down my throat along with the store at every opportunity especially when it is a completely different game mode and i do not want to play it. Please keep Battlefield 6 grounded. Please keep neon coloured skins out of a war game. Please stop forcing your shop advertisement onto my screen every time i boot up the game. Please remove battle royale - A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT GAME - off the game i actually paid for. The problem is now the devs are going to be forced to catering to the royale mode, so cosmetics and battle passes will be BR prioity as a result the core game that people paid for is completely ruined but who cares because EA & Dice get to make a lot of money! Sick of every company being and using predator tactics! Whether its scamming or lying - bait and switching. You will only learn when you have sucked the carcass dry and move on to the next money making scheme. What is worse - you could of kept these two modes different, had two completely different battlepasses, stuck to the direction and art style for both games and made twice as much money - real operators and grounded guns for bf6 & COD 2.0 for your battle royale but now you will just run both into the ground quicker this way, ggs ea

I bought battlefield 6 for its core modes, I shouldnt be forced into playing REDSEC because half of my weeklies are tied to a mode I dont want to play

I've been using Steam for 20+ years and to the best of my memory have never left a review. I'm just so sick of review bombing I feel the need to offset it. Review bombing a game because it's not COD or because you don't like Battle Royales, or whatever the case... Is wild behavior and bad for the industry. Something (which to my surprise) EA (or this specific team) is clearly trying to change back in the favor of the gamers themselves, at least in this brief window of time. If you have even the tiniest amount of logic you can see that BF6 being a massive success will only force COD and others to be good again, and listen to their community. I've played every battle royale essentially since the beginning, Dayz: Battle Royale / H1Z1 and tried everything since. To me, there was always something special with PUBG, and then COD Blackout took it to the next level, with Apex Legends bringing some new really nice mechanics (high risk reviving teammates, ziplines, great performance, etc). Warzone was an abysmal mistake coming off of Blackout. Impeccable timing lining up with the pandemic and everyone playing it while at home built a false narrative about the game to Activision, which ultimately lead to the comical trash heap it is today. Take the pandemic out and Blackout 2 comes out a year or so later to undo their mess. REDSEC is COD Blackout V2 with a spritz of Apex (given who's running the studio, no surprise), that is the best way to think about it. The perfect balance of simple mechanics with solid gunplay, no sprinting in circles dolphin diving around the map, no cash to farm to spam buy your loadout and revive your teammates 17 times straight... Most importantly, in the first 2 days I have experienced no game breaking bugs, we had a single crash across many hours of queues with 4 people, and the game is running at max settings, 4K 240 FPS locked 100% of the time without ever faltering. This alone should be praised (though it shouldn't have to be). Playing Warzone on 5090 at 4K has constant 1% drops, stutters, crashes, constantly recurring issues with the party and queuing system... Legitimately a terrible experience. Everyone knows these reviews are fake or just haters, shit it takes reading 20 of them to find one that actually references the gameplay. The first 10 I read were just simply mad there was a BR mode (just don't play it?) Keep it up EA, you are doing the right things, and the player counts show it. TLDR: If you like the high stakes open world feel of Battle Royales, this is arguably the best it's been done. It's hard to find anything significant to complain about. They clearly were very intentional in taking key aspects of the most popular BR games and blending them together. Never ending intense and comical moments, smooth movement, gunplay that feels like the better shot wins the fight, rock solid performance. Thumbs up.

Being mass review bombed by COD fanboys / people who hate battlepasses. I hate battle passes as well, yet unbiased opinion, its slow paced, destructive, and fresh. Tanks are not as OP as people think they are, matches last about 20 minutes or so (if you win) and provides variety of ways to play the game. It aint perfect but its honest work.

Paid BF6 customers are forced to play this cosmetic and ad infested hellscape to progress challenges and unlocks in the paid base game. If I can use it in the base game, I can earn it in the base game. Period.

Battle Royale is the most overrated genre in gaming. I'm absolutely tired of Battle Royals and I HOPE Battlefield doesn't become another Warzone. I feel like Redsec was put here just to get the streamers to stop crying which I am fine with because that means they won't be playing multiplayer. I hope Dice doesn't ignore the multiplayer if Redsec is successful. Do what you have to if you really want to make the streamers happy but please, please, please don't forget your core audience.

I was hoping for something different and fresh from the BR world, perhaps for a lot slower version of Warzone for my old brain, I wasn't overly confident about it though since the last 3 or 4 years BF has been getting closer and closer to COD in terms of running, gunning and sliding everywhere... After playing this, yeah its basically Warzone 3.0

Bought Battlefield 6 to play Battlefield, bought Battle Pass for Battlefield 6, look inside half of my weekly challenges are for the battle royale that I won't be playing... Oh, but you just can reroll the challenges! Yeah and 3 of them are sill for the BR because they are pushing it hard on people that would not touch it even once... Also, this is where the true big maps for Conquest and Escalation went... As always EA does not understand their target audience and what made the OG games so legendary in the first place, they are just chasing the trends without even considering the core players.

I tried to give it a shot, but.. it's not great. Idk if it's battle royale burn out from playing Apex Legends for thousand of hours, but like I played only 2-3 games and I immediately just not enjoyed it, it's just not interesting. You jump in, you either be a loot goblin or hot drop with all the action and get sent back into the lobby. Time to kill is short in this game so even with armor, I delete people with just a single second if they aren't paying attention and the reverse when I mind my own business I die instantly without reaction. I don't think thats fun for anyone, so I rather play the base BF6 modes. Oct 29: You guys are incredibly angry for someone's own personal opinion, the game content is free and there is nothing stopping you from playing it. It's just not for me, go ahead and recommend it if you think it's fun lol

Ok, BF definitely cooked with this one. I'm not a huge fan of BR in general but with strong battlefield flair, i'm digging it.

Actually a solid battle royale experience. Most negative reviews are just butthurt people about maps and challenges... If you just want to drop in, destroy some stuff and have a good time... this is for you.

Ignore the bad reviews, just a bunch of adhd cod spaz players. Battlefield is amazing and it absolutely needs a Solid BR mode. The older you get the more you want a good paced BR rather than a face paced Multiplayer everyday.

Untie the weekly challenges from this crap already and let us unlock whatever we want by playing the main game. Also, there’s still no proper solo mode, which is ridiculous in 2025. And on top of that, I can’t even queue solo into Duo mode — I’m forced to wait for a random teammate every time. Let players play how they want.

Progression in BF6 should not be tied to this separate game mode. Absolutely trash design, intended to force their monetization strategy down our throats.

COD people came and cried. This BR is so much better than warzone :))) Still has to be polished but its fun...coming from somebody that didnt want a BR in BF.
