I was really excited about FragPunk, especially because it had Turkish language support during the beta. However, after the official release, Turkish was removed without any explanation. Many players, including myself, were expecting the game to launch with the promised language support. Removing it after the beta feels like a betrayal to the Turkish gaming community. If the developers had technical difficulties, they should have communicated with the players instead of silently removing the language. I hope the developers reconsider their decision and bring Turkish back to the game.

Installs kernel-level anti-cheat (C:\Windows\system32\drivers\FPSNeacSafe.sys), but does NOT remove it after uninstalling the game. Very shady.

the beta was the best game I've ever played. now there is 9 currencies, weapon and lancer skin cards, 18 menus and the SLOWEST movement I've ever seen. the movement was absolutely fine in beta, now the game is virtually unplayable for anyone thats half decent at gaming. slowing it down for people who struggle just makes us all miserable. I have no idea who the devs are or who made this decision but this was top tier terrible. the dallas mavericks are running this show apparently. when i went 23-2 in my only game its not a skill issue, its the game is boring and sucks compared to beta issue lol.

While the gameplay itself is quite enjoyable, I cannot, in good faith, recommend a game that blatantly uses A.i. art in asset creation, SPECIALLY in paid items (such as banners in the battle pass/Store). It is beyond insulting both to consumers and artists alike and it feels overall incredibly shady. after i play it 22h and get gold rank i can say now this They somehow sexualized FragPunk even more than the 2006 version. This game is like porn you'd expect a story but it doesn't really matter I would like to say that a lot of gullible people are attacking me now. They don't care that I told the truth about the game, that it is trying to trick their small minds into spending their money on stupid p0-rn XD xaxaxaxa the last update AFTER GET RANK PLAT 2 I really loved the game, but I really hate it. Do you know why I hate this kind of game? It has a lot of weird people (they have microphones) who only use them to curse or bark at you when they get killed. They don't bother giving you information about the enemy's location. Man, I killed four people. The bomb was being planted in another area. No one in the team bothered to tell me that someone **** them all and was planting the bomb.

Thought this game was really cool until I found out they use AI in the game assets. ESPECIALLY on paid cosmetics. Absolutely disgusting. Hire actual artists for your games.

Where Did the Turkish Language Go?

I was excited to play FragPunk since I had tried the beta, and everything seemed promising. One of the biggest reasons I was looking forward to the full release was the Turkish language support. It was there in the beta, so I naturally assumed it would be available in the final version. But guess what? When the game officially launched, Turkish was gone. No warning, no announcement, just silently removed. This is a massive slap in the face to all Turkish-speaking players who were expecting the same experience as before. If you had no intention of supporting Turkish, why was it there in the beta? Was it just a cheap marketing trick to attract more players? This kind of disrespect towards a large player base is unacceptable. Many Turkish gamers, including myself, feel completely ignored and betrayed. If you truly cared about your community, you would at least communicate such a decision instead of quietly erasing a language. Rating: 1/10

If this game hadn't been released in English, Russian, or French, then I would have seen your review as well.

This is only a (Hopefully) temporary negative review, because I think this game is a better CS clone then valorant and I want to see it do nothing but succeed. However, 20000 in game bucks for 1 character is INSANE especially with how SLOWLY you earn this currency. If they can fix this I will almost have nothing negative to say. And they have the audacity to charge for AI generated art. Edit: I'm updating this review because I have literal children in my comments saying stupid shit like "ItS A FrEe GaMe WhAt Do YoU ExPeCt" the game sells cosmetics, the game sells charms for your weapon, the game sells stickers the game has a MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP and T W O battlepass tiers. Earning characters does not need to be AS HARD as it is for them to make money, dont be gullible and stupid. Edit part 2: It seems this company outright refuses to communicate with the public in regards to outages, the servers have been down for about 4 hours and there is nothing about it on Twitter, their discord, reddit, nothing. They have all this monitization and apparently didnt hire a community team.

Didn't wanna leave a negative review, but here we are. I had fun with this game, paid for membership so I could try out all the lancers, everything was good. Then I unlock a banner overlay that pops up on my screen and my heart sank. It was so clearly AI generated, and I just sat there in disappointment. I then found out that other people had been calling out what they deemed as AI-generated content too. Personally, I do not approve of this practice. It feels lazy, cheap, and just plain wrong. What has annoyed me more, though, is the fact that the use of AI-generated content is not disclosed here on the product page. Now, I feel as though I have been mislead, and I regret buying membership. If you're gonna use AI-generated content, at least have the decency to disclose it. Now I'm just left with guilt and a soured experience.

There's not even joking, 9 currencies. 9 fucking currencies. Within those 9 currencies there's gambling which isn't a problem if it's honest but it says after 50 boxes ($80 USD but you can't buy exactly $80 USD in the currency you have to spend $100) you get the ultimate, which is a shiny purple knife. Man I love Chinese slop games.

The game is fun - but let's talk about predatory gambling in games. This concerns the Constellation Axe Skin, I wish I could post screenshots, but you can find all this information in game yourself. The splash page for the sword proudly presents "50 DRAWS FOR A GUARANTEED ULTIMATE REWARD" notice how that doesn't say sword. Next to the name there is a icon labeled details click that for the next information. Now, you get a pity count this is your 50 rolls to guarantee, and in bright shiny letters below you are shown the probabilities of 1% for an Ultimate, 5% for Superb, 47.5% for Rare, and 46.5% for Common. This may lead you to believe a 1% chance out of every pull to be the sword, and a guaranteed sword at 50 pulls. but OH MAN are you wrong. In the tiny text above the probability you will find there is actually (wish I could capitalize numbers) A 0.01% CHANCE for THE SWORD in every pull and a 0.99% Chance of an Ultimate REWARD. So I did more digging, turns out there are two ULTIMATE REWARDS. The Sword and 100 Ultimate MATERIAL. So now you are probably saying... wtf is ultimate material. well tucked under another tab is a redeem shop for this material, and lo and behold our sword is there for.......... 1000 MATERIAL. If you have stuck around this long great it's time for some math to reveal how predatory this actually gets. We are going to go with the theory that your luck is absolutely terrible and we will exclude all free cans. So you now must buy 500 cans (50 for a guaranteed ultimate 99% chance of 100 material X 10) Now we have two options to buy, we can buy roughly the exact amount of coins for 50 cans (8300 coins). $80 will get you 8460 coins ($60 + $20). or we can go the clearly smarter option of $100 for 10800 coins. Now I rounded these numbers out for ease but if you want to do the exact math you can but here we go math time. We need in the worst situation 83,000 coins to get 500 cans yes 83 thousand. now we buy ten of the $80 options for a total of 84,460 coins BOOM YAY we have our sword for 800 US DOLLARS. But wait a minute snowy I am a big spender and want to buy this sword in the least amount of purchases possible so let me buy the $100 version. GREAT! Well lets do that. FOUR $100 packs will net you 43,200 coins (5 packs of 50 cans) buy 4 get one free right, so how many to reach the ability to buy the sword???? YEP THAT'S RIGHT 8 total, for 800 US DOLLARS. but wait you have a remaining 3,400 coins,,, to buy whatever tf you managed to not pull in your remaining 495 non ultimate cans. I understand your luck may be better, you may get extra coins that will save you maybe 50 bucks + 50 bucks worth of free cans. but overall to GUARANTEE that sword, with no lucky ultimate pulls on non guaranteed cans. it's $800 for a weapon on a screen that very loudly screams 50 CANS FOR GUARANTEED ULTIMATE while only showing the one ultimate sword. It's misleading and extremely predatory........... base game is fun though. now do I send a thumbs up or a thumbs down? Dunno but I am sure as hell buying 50 cans!

Uses AI assets, brain rotting number of menus, about 8 currencies... EVERY. SINGLE. THING. HAS. A PROGRESSION. TRACK. Every time you play a match (which will be about 20 minutes of gameplay just to die to people camping in obscure locations) there are 70 things in ur face saying "NEW" or "CLAIM THIS" and you have to navigate through 15 sub-menus just to acknowledge the new sticker that you probably already had, or to look at the time limited deal that you should definitely spend your money on (please spend money). I would rather sell my personal data to China than rot my brain trying to comprehend the 50 sub-menu system of this mobile-game lookin ahh game.

  • Uses AI assets. Does not disclose that they are using AI assets. (afaik against steam gudelines/TOS). Is it too much to ask to pay some artists?
  • Very shady monetization mechanics: 8 different currencies, many sub-menus where you will see "limited time deals" every time. On top of that a gacha-sytem and a subscription model. (Wouldn't mind the subscription model, if the rest wasn't that shady)
  • Installs kernel-level anti-cheat that is not removed on uninstall. The anti-cheat is a relabel of net ease anti-cheat. But still shady
  • There is nothing in the game or about the game that justifies the "punk" in the title.
nonetheless the mechanics are fun

FragPunk takes the familiar 5v5 hero shooter formula and spices it up with dynamic power-up cards that can completely change the flow of a match. The idea is cool, the gunplay is solid, and the neon cyberpunk aesthetic is eye-catching. But does it do enough to stand out in a genre dominated by giants? The Good: ✅ Tactical Card System: The ability to change match conditions every round adds unpredictability and fun. ✅ Fast & Fluid Gunplay: Weapons feel responsive, and movement is smooth. ✅ Unique Art Style: The neon cyberpunk visuals give it a distinct look. ✅ Potential for Growth: With the right updates and balancing, this could become something special. The Bad: ❌ Feels Too Familiar: Despite the card system, the core gameplay doesn’t do much to set itself apart from other hero shooters. ❌ Limited Content: Small hero roster and map selection may hurt replayability. ❌ Matchmaking & Balance Issues: Some cards feel overpowered, and matchmaking can be inconsistent. ❌ Uncertain Future: Live-service shooters depend on long-term support—will this one survive? Final Verdict: FragPunk has an interesting concept with its round-changing power-up system, but at its core, it still plays like a standard hero shooter. Whether it succeeds depends on how well the developers support it with new content and balance updates. If you're looking for something fresh in the hero shooter genre, it's worth a try—but don’t expect a revolution just yet. ⭐ 7/10 – Fun concept, but needs more to stand out.

FragPunk – A High-Octane Hero Shooter with a Twist FragPunk is a free-to-play 5v5 hero shooter developed by Bad Guitar Studio and published by NetEase. Released on March 6, 2025, the game aims to blend traditional tactical shooter elements with dynamic, rule-bending mechanics to create a fresh and engaging experience. Gameplay & Mechanics At its core, FragPunk offers fast-paced combat reminiscent of titles like Counter-Strike 2, but with a unique twist. The introduction of the Shard Card system allows players to influence each round's dynamics by selecting from a pool of over 100 cards that can alter gameplay mechanics, such as amplifying jump height or turning bullets into chain lightning . This system adds an element of unpredictability and strategy, ensuring that no two rounds are the same. Players can choose from a roster of 13 "Lancers," each equipped with unique abilities and playstyles. Whether you prefer stealth, support, or aggressive tactics, there's a Lancer to suit your preferred approach . Game Modes & Progression The primary mode, Shard Clash, is a bomb-planting/defusal mode that offers a competitive and strategic experience. In addition to this, the game features various other modes, including Team Deathmatch, Free For All, and Glunite Grab, providing diverse gameplay options to keep things fresh . While the game offers a variety of modes and customization options, some players have noted that the progression system can be a bit overwhelming, with multiple currencies and unclear menus complicating the experience . Visuals & Performance FragPunk boasts vibrant and stylized visuals, with maps featuring bold colors and dynamic designs that enhance the overall aesthetic. The game's performance is generally smooth, though some users have reported occasional technical issues . Monetization As a free-to-play title, FragPunk includes microtransactions for cosmetic items and character unlocks. While some players appreciate the game's monetization approach, others feel that certain elements, such as character availability, could be better balanced . Final Verdict FragPunk offers a unique take on the hero shooter genre, combining traditional tactical elements with innovative mechanics like the Shard Card system. While there are areas for improvement, particularly in progression clarity and balance, the game's engaging gameplay and diverse modes make it a worthwhile experience for fans of the genre. Rating: 7.5/10

If you want to use generative AI at least declare it in the steam page, so people know that they have to avoid money grabbers like you. It is full of AI Arts, and make a lot of monetization. Pay real artists EDIT: Really didnt expect to get so many people involved and to respond to almost everybody: 1. Yes it is AI dont need to have proof, it literally is and really poorly made. 2. This game has a lot of good art in character design nothing to argue with that,, one reason to do everything else by artist and not scrap AI 3. i still play the game sometimes but its nothing great, a lot of RNG in a competitive game nothing special unlike Valorant where you cant move to shoots or your shots dont hit a thing, this is the already seen ultra dynamic fps likely Apex or any COD clone 4. "until its good i dont care if its AI" well, with this logic you already have no taste in art. look at the banners, literally soulless drawing with a lot of nonsense in it, especially the two starships one, what are they even? with nothing in place and propulsar in the wrong direction, they make a lot of money, dey can pay someone to draw some stupid banners maybe with characters design and something thought not any soulless AI crap that they have. 5. You should care more about the industry youre on and dont say something when the economist up there, chiefs of big corporations are ok with the art taken over by some crap AI instead of build something with dedication as it was ever done in the industry, and thats why everybody loves art because it has a meaning, emotions and a story. not because "it looks good". If nobody care a sh** anymore then everything will start to look "good" but nothing more. only something that is easy to make because you dont hire anyone to do it, and easy to sell, but in not any way, it is made to be loved. protect our art guys, it is also for films and videogames. starting with the little thing, like everything. <3
